Madzibaba case: Police re-arrest 65-year old man after medical report proves penetration on girl (10)

CHIREDZI – Police have re-arrested Madzibaba Never Muzorora (65) of Village 7, Matedzi, in Chiredzi, after proving that there was penetration on his wife’s 10-year-old niece he had allegedly married.
Muzorora and his first wife (name not available) both appeared in court in Chiredzi this morning charged with rape, and Magistrate Judith Ziyu remanded them in custody until Friday.

The allegations are that the wife brought her little niece from her rural home in Bocha so that she could become Muzorora’s wife number seven. She allegedly pinned the niece while her husband raped her, and the girl is said to be corroborating the story.
The story of the marriage went viral two weeks ago when Muzorora’s picture with his hand on the girl’s body went viral on social media last week.
Prosecutor Noel Muranda narrated the story in court.

A medical examination of the girl showed that there was penetration leading to the re-arrest of Muzorora.
Muzorora was initially arrested by Mkwasine Police on Sunday last week, but they could not find the girl.
He was subsequently released to avoid detaining him for more than 48 hours. He was ordered not to leave his homestead as the matter was being investigated.

Muzorora allegedly told the Police that the girl had merely visited his homestead and there was no marriage. Muzorora also professed ignorance of the whereabouts of the girl.
The girl was found in Bocha a few days later after allegedly being sent back by Muzorora to avoid the Police. She was then taken for medical examinations and kept in a safe house.
