Fear grips Goromonzi as bhinya breaks into house and rapes mother (34) and daughter (12)

In a horrifying incident that has instilled fear in the residents of Goromonzi, an unidentified man attacked a mother, aged 34, and her 12-year-old daughter, subjecting them to a traumatic act of rape before vanishing into the night.

According to the accounts, the two victims had retired for the night on February 9, 2024. In the early hours of the following day, at approximately 1 am, the assailant forcibly broke into their bedroom by breaking down the door.

Upon entering, the mother let out a desperate scream, but her cries were met with a chilling response as the intruder brandished a knife and menacingly threatened to harm her if she made any more noise.

In a heart-wrenching turn of events, the suspect proceeded to ƨǝxuɑlly assault the mother while her terrified daughter looked on, helpless. The ordeal did not end there, as the assailant then turned his attention towards the young girl, subjecting her to the same horrifying act of rape. Afterward, he returned to the mother for another round of assault.

Following these heinous acts, the attacker finally departed, leaving behind immense physical and emotional scars on the victims.

Inspector Simon Chazovachiyi, the spokesperson for the Mashonaland East provincial police, confirmed the distressing incident, vowing to spare no efforts in bringing the perpetrator to justice.

“We will leave no stone unturned in our efforts to bring the perpetrator to book,” he said.
