Kadoma, Zimbabwe – The Archdiocese of Harare will witness a momentous occasion on July 21, 2024, as His Grace, Archbishop Robert Ndlovu, will confirm hundreds of Catholic faithful at the new St Mary’s Mother of God Parish in Kadoma.

The confirmation ceremony, which will be held on a winter morning, will see the Archbishop lay hands on the candidates, imparting the Holy Spirit and strengthening their faith.
The sacred ritual will mark a significant milestone in the spiritual journey of the confirmands, who had spent months preparing for this moment.

Last year Archbishop Robert Christopher Ndlovu in his homily, emphasized the importance of faith, hope, and charity, urging the confirmands to become witnesses of Christ’s love and compassion in their daily lives. He encouraged them to remain steadfast in their faith, even in the face of adversity, and to always seek guidance from the Holy Spirit.

This year the celebration is expected to be bigger with families, friends, and members of the parish community, coming together to support and celebrate the confirmation. The event is a testament to the growing Catholic community in Kadoma and the Archdiocese of Harare’s commitment to nurturing the faith.

The Archbishop will also bless the parish community, praying for God to continue to guide and protect them.

The confirmation ceremony at St Mary’s Mother of God Parish is expected to be a memorable event, one that will be cherished by the confirmands and the entire parish community for years to come.
