Two killed and two injured in Masvingo – Beitbridge Road multi-bus accident
Two people died while two others were injured in a road traffic accident that occurred along the Masvingo-Beitbridge Road early Sunday morning.
Zimbabwe Republic Police Masvingo Provincial Spokesperson, Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa confirmed the accident.
The accident involved three buses – Rimbi, Tombs and Mbokodo buses, which were all travelling towards Beitbridge.
It is believed the Rimbi bus veered off the road and hit the Tombs bus trailer and a Mbokodo bus which were parked off the road.
The trailer then hit one of the passengers from the Tombs bus who died on the spot, while another passenger from the Rimbi bus also died on the spot after being thrown out of the bus upon impact.
The injured were taken to Beitbridge Hospital for medical attention. ZBC
