Reverend Obadiah Musindo was yesterday attacked by a group of irate women at a Harare hotel in an incident whose video went viral on social media.
According to Destiny of Afrika Network president Rev Obadiah Musindo, the commotion started from the WhatsApp political group called “Zimbabwe We Want” which one admin group member known as Malcom removed Rev Musindo. Rev Musindo went further to say, Malcom as social media activist posted a video name dropping VP Chiwenga of which Rev Musindo advised him to stop putting the name of Vice President into social media platforms for political grounds.
On a video which is currently circulating on social media posted by the one Malcom, he is influencing people of Zimbabwe to get into streets on 31 March for the purpose of demonstrating against the ruling ZANU PF government.
“They attacked me for non existent things and said I’m getting too far with my political affiliation. I’m not even moved by these attackers as they can’t change my political beliefs because it’s a right for everyone to choose his or her political affiliation,” explained Rev Musindo.
Hotel guests were disturbed by the unfortunate incident. The attackers came while Rev Musindo had a meeting with an elderly female citizen on business and this left the old lady in shock which was clear attempt to deliberately tarnish the Reverend’s image because of his political affiliation.
The attackers, were allegedly sent by social media influencer Malcom and G40 Members by accusing the cleric of taking a political stance that did not go well with them.
