AGORA Set To Appreciate Partners and Stakeholders For Their Philanthropic Work

By Desire Tshuma

AGORA Club Zimbabwe is set to celebrate the achievement of the two year milestone in appreciation for the unwavering support by its partners and stakeholders.

Charitable organizations have an ancient history particularly in the context of religiously prescribed public duty. In Zimbabwe, king’s granary or Zunde ra Mambo was a social system of preserving harvest in anticipation of lean seasons when the king would decree the distribution of stored food to vulnerable community members. Today the Round Table family is a group of international organizations dedicated to community service, fellowship and personal development comprising the ladies circle, Tangent , the 41 club, Round Table and AGORA Club International (ACI).

“AGORA Club is designed to foster partnership and provide targeted support to those in need in our communities. We are inspired by the ancient Greek location AGORA where citizens met for social, commercial and judicial engagements,” said Chido Musasiwa club president.

AGORA Club International is a network of associations coordinating and cultivating friendship between women united around the moto “service and tolerance”.

Established in 2002, the Rafiki Girls Center was selected by Chido Musasiwa-Gutu in 2023 as the sitting president’s charitable organization of choice.

Over the period of two years Rafiki Center in partnership with Agora Club, has provided bus fares, furniture and a solar installation to the vocational training facility currently headed by Hildah Mahachi in their collaborative spirit of the Round Table family. AGORA has worked tirelessly alongside like minded partners that include local women’s forum, Proweb and international initiative laptops for hope to optimize resources provided at the center and improve outcomes for trainees.

AGORA Zimbabwe encourages those who would like to partner with Rafiki to consider employing, further fund or provide any assistance to come and share in this occasion to be held on 4 April 2025 at number 9 Drayton Rd in Mabelreign . The occasion is going to be both an invaluable networking opportunity as well as an exciting celebratory event . Rafiki trainees are equipped with skills in cosmetology, interior design, cutting and designing, hairdressing, nurse aide training and ECD teacher training.
