Police Warn Ngarivhume, Chibaya Over Plans to Incite Violence

THE Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has issued a stern warning to opposition figures, Jacob Ngarivhume and Amos Chibaya, accusing them of being among individuals planning to incite violence and engage in criminal acts.

In a statement released by national police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi, the ZRP said it was monitoring individuals and groups allegedly instigating activities that threaten public safety and national peace.

“The Zimbabwe Republic Police warns individuals and groups who have been identified as instigators, inciters and ringleaders of criminal elements who intend to unleash violence, which include malicious damage to property, by burning tyres and destroying buildings, that the full wrath of the law will be effected without fear or favour,” he said.

Comm Nyathi specifically named Ngarivhume and Chibaya as being among those identified in connection with the alleged plans.
