Uniting for a Safer Future, NSSA’s World Day for Safety and Health at Work

On May 9th, 2025, the city of Chinhoyi will host a pivotal event that brings together the community, employers, employees, SMEs, churches, and schools to celebrate the World Day for Safety and Health at Work. The National Social Security Authority (NSSA) will commemorate this important day at Cooksey Hall Memorial Park, under the theme “Technology and Future of Work.”

This event promises to be a highlight of the year, with a range of engaging activities, including first aid drills, fire drills, drama performances, music, and corporate displays. The excitement will be palpable, with drum majorettes adding a touch of energy and enthusiasm to the proceedings.

The occasion will be graced by two esteemed guests, Honourable Marian Chombo, Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution in Mashonaland West, and Honourable Edgar Moyo, Minister of Public Services, Labour, and Social Welfare. Their presence underscores the importance of safety and health in the workplace and the government’s commitment to promoting a culture of safety.

This event is a rare opportunity for stakeholders to come together, share knowledge, and showcase innovations in workplace safety.
