Ezekiel Guti Commemorations Set to be attended By 50 Artists Including Worshippers From Limpopo

Ezekiel Guti’s philanthropic work continues to be celebrated globally through various initiatives by the Zimbabwe Assemblies of God Africa (ZAOGA) Forward in Faith Ministries International.

Ezekiel Guti passed away on May 5 2023 at the age of 100 years in South Africa and his remains were repatriated back in Zimbabwe and was declared by His Excellence Emerson Mnangagwa national hero.

This year, ZAOGA Forward In Faith Ministries decentralised its commemorations accross the country. In Harare commemorations are set to start by walkathon in Grange followed by musical concert which will take place at Braeside ZAOGA branch where 50 Artists will perform starting at 12 noon.

Foreign based musical group , The Worshippers which arrived in the country, led by Misheck Mahendere is set to light the stage in Braeside ZAOGA church. The Worshippers are based in South Africa in Limpopo Province and most are Venda speaking tribe though they are diluted by different tribes including our own Misheck Mahendere who is a brother to a well known Zimbabwean gospel artist, pastor Michael Mahendere.

ZAOGA Forward In Faith Ministries also partnered with the Ministry of Information and Courier Services (ICT) which donated computers to different ZAOGA schools and rendered computer trainings .

” We have special needs school, Ezekiel Guti Junior Legacy in Shamva which caters for children with various disabilities where we teach them computers and special expatriate teachers are employed there to teach them ” said ZAOGA deputy SG.

ZAOGA operates numerous schools, Bible colleges, and a university, Zimbabwe Ezekiel Guti University (ZEGU), which promote education and personal development. It also owns Mbuya Dorcas Hospital (MDH) which provides medical services, including specialized care and a postgraduate nursing school, benefiting both church members and the broader community.The church’s “matarenda” or “penny-capitalism” initiative encourages members to develop side hustles, promoting self-reliance and entrepreneurship.

ZAOGA FIFMI has expanded to over 174 countries, with missionaries and churches working together to spread the gospel and support local communities.These activities demonstrate the ongoing impact of Ezekiel Guti’s philanthropic work and legacy
