Nine Women Arrested For Advertising Massage and Bota Services
Nine women appeared before the Harare magistrate facing charges for allegedly advertising massage and bota services.
According to a video shared on Instagram by Hmetro, the women were arrested after their ads were sought on social media.
The women in question, who protected and covered their faces to protect their privacy, were seen without shoes while escorted and directed by officers to the court.
The nine women were arrested because the selling of bota is a violation of Zimbabwe’s Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act.
It has been reported that many massage parlours in Harare are now offering ‘happy endings’ as a way to attract more clients. A ‘happy ending’ means that a client will get bota for an extra cost.
Both females and males sometimes buy these services if they want discreet services. The business is a well-known secret and an underground business throughout the country.
The arrest of the nine women has been met with mixed reactions among Zimbabweans. While a few applaud the police for a job well done, most people are calling for the police to arrest bigger criminals and leave the women trying to make a living for themselves.

@wisdomtree
Why are they walking bare footed, why is one wearing a Morning gown or half dressed?
Why is this acceptable and normal to subject people to such inhuman and degrading conditions?
