Chitungwiza Woman Robbed And Gang-Raped In Domboshava After Fake Job Offer

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has warned the public against seeking employment or services through unverified social media contacts.

This alert follows a horrific incident in which a 30-year-old Chitungwiza woman was robbed and raped after being lured by a fraudulent job offer.

In a statement, police said that on June 22, 2025, the victim responded to a WhatsApp message from an unidentified woman offering employment as a shopkeeper in Domboshava.

Upon arriving at Mungate Business Centre as instructed, she was approached by two male suspects claiming to have been sent to collect her.

The suspects then transported the victim to Crowhill, Borrowdale, where they robbed her before taking turns to rape her.
