Magaya has been promoting apples blessed through prayers, drawing biblical parallels to the cloak of Elijah and the stick of Moses, suggesting they hold spiritual power (e.g., “Like the cloak of Elijah — become a mantle, you apple”) . These apples were reportedly prepared ahead of a Sunday service, with claims of extensive prayer sessions on a “prayer mountain” to consecrate them .I condemn this act as it is exploitative and deceptive. It reduces faith to commercialized “spiritual theatre,” preying on vulnerable believers. Just like stuff like anointing oil, I feel there is need for tighter regulation of such practices. In my conclusion I view the apples as a manipulative stunt.
