Chegutu Man Jailed for rubbing his manhood on a minor niece

A 35-year-old Chegutu man has been sentenced to five months in prison for indecent assault after he was convicted of rubbing his manhood against his minor niece’s buttocks.

According to the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe(NPAZ), on December 31, 2024, the man entered a house and found his 8-year-old niece sleeping on the couch. He removed her underwear and proceeded to rub his manhood on her buttocks.

The girl awoke during the assault and later disclosed the incident to her mother, who promptly reported the matter to the police.

As a result, the man was sentenced to eight months in prison, with three months suspended for five years on the condition that he does not commit a similar offence during that time.
