Zimbabweans In The UK Can Apply For Passports During Outreach Programme
Zimbabweans in the UK will be able to apply apply for passports and access other consular services next week during an outreach programme hosted by Diaspora Insurance at its global headquarters in Birmingham.
A notice from the Embassy in London seen by Nehanda Radio confirms they will be at Diaspora Insurance House and offering services that include passports, child registration, temporary travel documents, as well as police clearance.
The consular outreach will begin on Tuesday (05/08/25) and run until Thursday (07/05/25).
“Service is on first come first serve basis. No appointment is required. We look forward to meeting you soon for seamless Consular services,” the embassy said it its public notice.
Last year towards Christmas, Diaspora Insurance unveiled their multi-million dollar headquarters dubbed Diaspora Insurance House at the Parklands Business Park in Birmingham (Post Code: B45 9PZ).
The HQ has since hosted multiple events, including a dinner for the Zimbabwe Cricket team who played England in May this year having last done so 22 years ago in 2003.
Diaspora Insurance House will now be hosting the Zimbabwe Embassy in their outreach programme in the West Midlands. A company spokesman confirmed the development.
“We are pleased to host the Zimbabwe Embassy’s consular services outreach programme. Providing a platform for such essential services not only helps facilitate easier access to consular assistance but also demonstrates our commitment to serving the needs of the Zimbabwean community here.
“We look forward to continuing this collaboration and working together to ensure that our community members receive the support and services they deserve.”
The Embassy in London says it will also take their outreach programme to the Channel Islands of Jersey and Guernsey towards the end of August.
Meanwhile Diaspora Insurance has made it clear its head office is available not just to the Zimbabwe community but all the 20 African nationalities the company covers across the globe.
Established more than 14 years ago, Diaspora Insurance has grown exponentially over the years with its bespoke funeral cash plan product providing critical financial intervention which ensures Africans in the Diaspora do not endure the indignity of GoFundMe appeals to deal with end-of-life expenses.
With no medicals asked, African transnational citizens can cover themselves in the Diaspora as well as family back home with a product that removes the double trauma of bereaving a loved one while also begging for financial assistance to help with funeral costs. *nehandaradio*
