Kuwadzana Man Arrested for Raping Sick Workmate After Giving Her Snuff

A 21-year-old Kuwadzana man has been arrested for allegedly raping his ailing workmate after luring her to his home under the pretext of offering traditional medication.

Police say the suspect, Tanaka Ncube, offered to help the woman after she complained of a severe headache at work on Wednesday evening.

Ncube allegedly led her to his house around 8pm, where he gave her traditional snuff, claiming it was a remedy for headaches.

Moments after consuming it, the woman reportedly felt dizzy. Ncube then allegedly raped her twice without protection.

The victim informed her boyfriend the following morning, who in turn reported the matter to police, leading to Ncube’s arrest.

According to H-Metro, Harare provincial police spokesperson Inspector Luckmore Chakanza confirmed the incident, saying:

“Police arrested a Kuwadzana man for raping his workmate.”

Ncube is expected to appear in court soon facing rape charges.
