Zimbabwe’s Strongest Man Jonathan Muvingi  And Seabel Simbi Appeal For Sponsorship To Turkey For World Wrestling Competitions

Jonathan “Mr.Mat” Muvingi, a renowned Zimbabwean strongman and wrestler, together with Seabel Simbi have World Wrestling Competitions in October in Turkey representing Zimbabwe and are seeking sponsorship to accomplish their destiny.

“We don’t have sponsorship and our personal savings cannot sustain us, we are asking for support from the corporate world in terms of sponsorship,” Muvingi said.

The wrestlers are asking for sponsorship for air tickets, hotel bookings, kit supplements and cash for moving to and from trainings.

Jonathan “Mr Mat” is the strongest man in Zimbabwe after pulling a 6.5-tonne haulage truck with his mouth. Muvingi was born in a family of eight in Chiredzi, where he developed his physical strength from a young age by doing heavy work at home. Muvingi has won several international competitions, including a gold medal at the 18th African Kurash Championships in South Africa and a bronze medal at the 2020 World Wrestling Championships in Iran.

His achievements in African Kurash Championships are, winning gold medal in 2022 and he has represented Zimbabwe at several international competitions.

In World Wrestling Championships he won bronze in 2020.

Muvingi is the interim president of the Zimbabwe Wrestling Federation (ZWF) and is working with the ZWF to revive professional wrestling in Zimbabwe.
