Israeli Perpetrates Global War: Palestine Ambassador Says

By Desire Tshuma

Harare — Palestinian Ambassador to the Republic of Zimbabwe, Dr. Tamer Almassri warns that Israeli’s unchecked aggression will have far-reaching consequences on global peace and security. If left unaccountable, Israel will continue to commit reckless acts, even against its allies, under the guise of fabricated excuses.

The Israeli military’s relentless bombardment of Gaza City has turned the once-thriving metropolis into ruins, with entire city blocks being reduced to rubble by airstrikes and remotely controlled robots laden with explosives. The devastating assault has resulted in the martyrdom of over 65,283 Palestinians, with a disproportionate number of victims being children and women. Furthermore, over 12,000 people remain trapped under the debris.

Dr. Almassri emphasizes that Israel’s blatant disregard for international law, crimes against humanity, and its perpetuation of genocide have become a source of pride and arrogance for the Israeli government and its leaders like Benjamin Netanyahu. This alarming trend has raised fundamental questions about the integrity of the international system, its institutions, and values. The world is witnessing a dangerous precedent, where Israel acts with impunity, emboldening future regimes with fascist leadership to emulate its egregious practices.

The state of Palestine emphasizes that the forced displacement of Gaza’s population, herding civilians through fire and scorched-earth tactics into one area of Khan Younis, mirrors the ghettos and concentration camps of Nazi Germany through crematoriums, the use of internationally prohibited weapons, the destruction of buildings, or deliberate starvation paralleling what Netanyahu is doing today.

Despite these grim realities, the State of Palestine welcomes recent decisions by Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and other nations.
Ambassador Almassri views these gestures as a crucial recognition of the just and legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. He believes such actions contribute to safeguarding the two-state solution from the dangers posed by the continued crimes of the occupation, including genocide, starvation, displacement, and annexation.
