‘ARE YOU OBSTRUCTING JUSTICE?’ – Lawyer Fadzayi Mahere Grills Mliswa Over Chiwenga Chivayo Bombshell Allegations

The political firestorm ignited by Temba Mliswa has taken a sharp legal turn, as prominent lawyer and public figure Fadzayi Mahere has publicly grilled the legislator, questioning his motives and warning of the “danger of you being accused of obstructing the course of justice”.

The confrontation comes after Mliswa unleashed a series of bombshell allegations, claiming Vice President Chiwenga’s anti-corruption drive was a politically motivated “revenge move” against businessman Wicknell Chivayo over unfulfilled financial promises.

Now, Mahere is demanding clarity, taking the explosive social media feud into the realm of legal accountability.

Mliswa Challenged: Whistleblower or Obstructionist?

In a direct public challenge, Fadzayi Mahere posed three critical questions to Temba Mliswa, cutting to the heart of his explosive thread:

On the Arrest: “Are you telling us there’s a move to get @wicknellchivayo arrested? If so, where are you getting that information from?”.

On the Motive: “Are you opposed to such a move? If so, on what basis?”.

On the Legality: “Is there no danger of you being accused of obstructing the course of justice with this thread?”.

This final question hangs heavy over the affair, suggesting that Mliswa’s detailed exposé, intended to frame the situation as a personal dispute, could itself be interpreted as an attempt to interfere with a legitimate legal process.

Chivayo Cornered: “Is It True You Promised Cash?”

Mahere did not stop with Mliswa. She then turned her attention directly to the man at the center of the allegations, Wicknell Chivayo, putting him on the spot with another set of pointed questions in the public interest.

“May you kindly clarify the following,” she asked, demanding answers on whether he truly “promised cash to Mr Chiwenga,” the specific amount and terms, and if their relationship soured because of his “failure to fulfil this promise”.
