Plumtree Sister Wives Connive to Attack Husband’s Girlfriend Vying for Third-Wife Position
Two women from Plumtree, who are married to the same man, have been arrested after allegedly teaming up to assault their husband’s mistress in a violent midnight ambush that left the victim seriously injured.
The dramatic incident, which occurred on 6 October in Batanani Village, has been described by locals as an act of “unity in pain.”
According to Prosecutor Sheila Nyathi, the co-wives — Cynthia Tshuma (25) and Tatenda Majoni (26) — stormed the home of their husband’s alleged lover, Grace Ndlovu, at around 7PM, accusing her of “destroying their polygamous peace.”
An argument quickly escalated into a physical attack, during which the two women allegedly assaulted Ndlovu with switches. Prosecutors say Tshuma then stabbed the victim in the back with a screwdriver, while Majoni continued to beat her despite her screams for help.
