Bar patron killed for accidentally spilling beer

IN an act of senseless killing, a Tsholotsho man was fatally assaulted for accidentally spilling a fellow bar patron’s beer.

Following the dastardly act, assailant identified as Mehluli Moyo (33) fled the scene and is now being sought by police for murder.

Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) national spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident.

“Police in Tsholotsho are appealing for information which may lead to the arrest of Mehluli Moyo (33) who is being sought in connection with a case of murder which occurred on November 6, 2025, at Jowa Ngadzi business centre,” said Nyathi.

“The suspect allegedly stabbed the victim, Luckmore Nhliziyo (22) with an okapi multiple times all over the body after an argument during a beer drinking spree. The victim had accidentally spilled the suspect’s beer.”
