21 brand new luxury car donation plus US$600,000 cash — Mnangagwa hails Wicknell as a “patriotic businessman”
President Emmerson Mnangagwa, on Friday, 5 December, officially handed over 21 vehicles to the Zanu PF Women’s League, donated by Wicknell Chivayo, whom he hailed as a patriotic businessman.
The donation includes six Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series VXR vehicles, designated for the top six leadership positions, alongside ten Toyota Hilux GD6 Double Cab vehicles.
Mnangagwa said the vehicles will be distributed across all ten provinces to support the Women’s League’s grassroots mobilisation efforts. He added:
“In addition, the Women’s League received US$500,000, to be distributed equally across the 10 Provinces to support various Party development and empowerment initiatives.
“In line with the Second Republic’s philosophy of leaving ‘No one and no place behind’, I also handed over five (5) Toyota Hilux GD6 Double Cabs to the Young Women 4ED, an affiliate body comprised of the youth and young women, who are instrumental in advancing Government and Party programmes.
“The Young Women 4ED also received US$100,000 to support their activities in mobilising the youth through various empowerment initiatives across the Country.
“These donations have been made possible through the generous support of a young patriotic businessman, Mr Wicknell Chivayo, whose philanthropy and charitable commitment to National development are exceptional.
“His dedication to our revolutionary mass Party, Zanu PF, and his deep belief in the empowerment of women and young people reflect the true spirit of our national philosophy that Nyika Inovakwa Nevene Vayo.
“I applaud him and encourage other young business people to emulate such outstanding patriotism and efforts to advance the developmental agenda of our beloved Nation.” *_-Pindula_*
