Chitungwiza Municipality completes road works to late Nicholas Zakaria’s home

Chitungwiza Municipality says it has completed repair works on the road leading to the late Nicholas Zakaria’s residence in Unit A Extension.

Speaking to The Herald, municipal official Talent Mashinga said the works included grading and gravelling the road, as well as the construction of a road shoulder to improve access and safety. He said:

“We had already planned to repair the road, but upon hearing the news of Madzibaba Nicholas Zakaria’s passing, we prioritised this area to improve accessibility.

“We redirected our workforce to expedite the roadworks, ensuring easy access for mourners.”

Zakaria passed away on Thursday morning, 11 December 2025, at the age of 68 following a long illness.

He had been living with diabetes, hypertension, and recurring leg swelling, health issues that gradually affected his mobility and daily functioning. *_-Pindula_*
