Religious Group Back Mnangagwa’s 2030 Vision, Cites “Divine Providence”
By Elizabeth Kucherera
A prominent religious coalition, the National Multi-Faith Economic Dialogue (NAMFED), has thrown its weight behind President Emerson Mnangagwa’s Vision 2030, declaring it a divinely-ordained path for the nation.
According to documents obtained by our publication, NAMFED’s core Ecclesiastical Pronouncement asserts that President Mnangagwa’s leadership is guided by “Divine Providence,” and abandoning the Vision 2030 agenda would be a “failure of spiritual nerve and divine National duty.”
The declaration, signed by top officials from all 10 provinces, effectively endorses Mnangagwa’s bid to extend his term beyond 2028, citing divine sanction.
NAMFED is a broad, patriotic, and ecumenical coalition of religious leaders and groupings from across Zimbabwe and the diaspora.
