15 Chitungwiza passengers injured in a kombi collision along Seke Road
At least fifteen passengers were seriously injured in a road traffic accident involving two commuter omnibuses on Seke Road on Tuesday afternoon.
According to eye witness reports, a white kombi from Chitungwiza, which was carrying a full load of passengers, was cut off by a yellow kombi that was attempting to turn right. The manoeuvre resulted in a collision between the two vehicles.
The impact left 15 passengers from the white kombi seriously injured. Emergency services and passers-by assisted in ferrying the injured to a nearby hospital, where they are currently receiving medical attention.
No fatalities have been reported.
It is understood that the yellow kombi only had its driver at the time of the accident, who reportedly escaped without serious injuries.

*President Mnangagwa Begins His Month-Long Vacation, Vice Presidents to Take Turns Acting*
President Emmerson Mnangagwa has officially begun his month-long annual leave, starting on December 23, 2025, the Office of the President and Cabinet has announced.
According to a press statement released on Monday, President Mnangagwa will spend his vacation within Zimbabwe and is expected to return to work in early February 2026.
During his absence, Vice President Kembo Mohadi will act as President from December 23 to December 31, 2025. Vice President Constantino Chiwenga will then assume acting presidential duties from January 1 to January 13, 2026.
Vice President Mohadi will resume the acting role from January 14 until President Mnangagwa returns to office.
The statement was issued by Deputy Chief Secretary for Presidential Communications, Mr George Charamba.
