One Dead, Several Injured In CAG Tours Bus Crash Near Shamva
One person was killed, and several others were injured when a CAG Tours bus was involved in an accident near Shamva on Sunday.
In a statement, CAG Tours confirmed the incident, saying the bus was operating on the Harare–Magazi route at the time of the crash. The statement reads:
“CAG Tours confirms with deep sorrow that one of our buses plying the Harare – Magazi route was involved in a road traffic accident earlier today near Shamva.
“The accident tragically resulted in the loss of one life, and several passengers sustained injuries of varying degrees.
“We are profoundly saddened by this incident and extend our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased.
“Our thoughts and prayers are also with the injured passengers, and we wish them a full and speedy recovery.
“Emergency services responded swiftly, and all injured passengers were transported to nearby medical facilities, where they are receiving treatment.
“CAG Tours is working closely with hospital authorities to ensure that all affected passengers receive the necessary medical care and support.
“We are fully cooperating with the relevant authorities, who have commenced investigations to establish the cause of the accident.
“At this stage, it would be premature to speculate, and we will respect the investigative process.
“The safety of our passengers, staff, and the general public remains our highest priority. CAG Tours has activated its internal emergency response protocols and is providing support to passengers, families, and staff affected by this tragic event.
