Police react to assault of naked woman captured in viral video
POLICE have arrested one person in connection with a viral video capturing the assault of a woman over suspicion of promiscuity.
Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) national spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident, which occurred in Uzumba-Maramba-Pfungwe in Mashonaland East province.
“Reference is made to the video circulating on social media platforms in which two women are seen brutally assaulting a naked woman over infidelity allegations,” said Nyathi.
“The ZRP confirms that the incident occurred in Uzumba-Maramba-Pfungwe on 20 February 2026 and Tambudzai Manjera(24) has since been arrested in connection with this case.
“Her accomplice Tanaka Manjera (22) is still at large. More information will follow in due course.” NewZimbabwe
