Police raid Prophet Magaya’s Yada Hotel, uncover large quantities of unregistered and illegal medicines
HARARE — According to a report by The Herald, Yadah Hotel, a property linked to PHD Ministries founder Walter Magaya, is currently facing legal proceedings after a police raid uncovered a significant quantity of unregistered and unapproved medicines on the premises.
Court Appearance and Charges
The Herald reports that the establishment, represented by one of its directors, Donald Makuvaza, appeared before Harare magistrate Lisa Mutendereki. The hotel faces formal charges regarding the possession of unregistered and unapproved complementary medicines. The matter has been remanded to March 10, at which time a plea recording is scheduled to take place.
The Police Raid and Discoveries
According to the allegations presented by the State, detectives from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Headquarters in Harare executed a search of the hotel on November 15 of last year. The operation was reportedly initiated following a tip-off concerning the storage of unauthorized medical supplies in one of the hotel
