Wicknell Chivayo gifts US$2 million cash and US$450,000 luxury Maybach to Bishop Mutendi
Wicknell Chivayo has gifted Nehemiah Mutendi, leader of the Zion Christian Church, a brand-new Mercedes‑Benz Maybach S680 valued at about US$450,000, along with US$2 million, ahead of the church’s 2026 annual Easter conference.
Chivayo said the luxury vehicle is ready for delivery, together with an initial US$1 million payment. The remaining US$1 million is expected to be released during the first week of July 2026.
Posting on his social media pages on Thursday, 12 March, Chivayo described the gift as a small token of appreciation for Mutendi’s tireless commitment to the work of God.
He also said he plans to personally drive the car to a location of Mutendi’s choice when handing it over.
Chivayo added that in 2025, Mutendi had accepted another luxury vehicle from him, the latest model of the Mercedes‑Benz Maybach GLS600, although he had not yet received feedback on how it had been performing. Wrote Chivayo:
“Perhaps the COMPARISON will now be easier if you have ANOTHER MAYBACH model, so that the work of GOD may continue to be carried with greater COMFORT upon your shoulders.”
Chivayo said he was impressed by how Mutendi and the ZCC church had put the US$1 million donations he made in 2024 and 2025 to good use in supporting the church’s charitable work. Said Chivayo:
“Having independently verified the initiatives undertaken by the Church, including the construction of SCHOOLS, the payment of tuition for UNDERPRIVILEGED children and the empowerment of children, WOMEN and GIRLS in particular, I am filled with profound RESPECT for the stewardship and integrity demonstrated under your leadership.
“It is therefore my greatest HONOUR, YOUR GRACE, to further PLEDGE my continued support to these noble causes.
“I am therefore pleased to announce that for 2026 I have now DOUBLED my previous donation, and I will HUMBLY donate a total amount of US$2 MILLION, which has already been approved by my PARENTS.
“The first US$1 MILLION is READY for disbursement immediately and awaits your further INSTRUCTIONS on how you want it.
“The second US$1 MILLION will be dispatched during the first week of JULY, being the second half of the year, to continue supporting the remarkable work being carried out by the ZCC.” *_-Pindula_*
