An average of six divorces have been granted everyday since the start of the year
The report yesterday that there have been about 500 divorce cases in this country since the start of the year, it created quite a buzz on social media.
Well, we have just had about 75 days since the year opened.
This means that, on average, six divorce cases have been granted every day since the year started.
Admittedly, it doesn’t mean that all these divorces are from cases which started this year.
But, five hundred cases are still a big number and one only wonders what the figures will look like at the end of the year.
What has been the response on social media from the StarFM listeners?
Some claim that this spike has largely been caused by those who have gone to settle in the UK in recent years.
