DRIVER AND PASSENGER CHEAT DEATH AS TIPPER TRUCK RAMS INTO TRAIN IN KADOMA

In a harrowing incident last night, a lorry carrying sand developed a mechanical fault and crashed into a train at a rail level crossing in Kadoma. The accident occurred at approximately 23:50hrs, sending shockwaves through the community.

According to eyewitnesses, the driver lost control of the vehicle as it approached the level crossing. In a desperate bid to save their lives, the driver and his passenger leapt from the truck, leaving it to collide with the passing train.

Miraculously, the two men suffered only minor injuries and were rushed to Kadoma District hospital, where they received treatment and were later discharged.

This incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of road safety, particularly at level crossings. Authorities are urging drivers to exercise extreme caution when approaching these areas and to ensure their vehicles are in good working condition to avoid such accidents.
