BOMBSHELL: Husband Discovers Children Aren’t His

A Harare man’s world was turned upside down when he discovered the children he raised for nearly 20 years weren’t his biological offspring. Daniel Mwashaireni was granted a protection order against his wife, Linda Jena, after she subjected him to emotional and physical abuse following his discovery.

Mwashaireni claimed Jena’s infidelity was a betrayal beyond words. He said, “I was living a lie.” He accused Jena of using threats, violence, and emotional blackmail to force him to pay $700 monthly for the children’s upkeep.

Mwashaireni described years of suspicion and Jena’s evasive explanations. He said Jena turned violent, called him worthless, and even sent boys to harass him at home.

The court ruled in Mwashaireni’s favor, granting the protection order. Magistrate Johanna Mukwesha urged both parties to seek counseling to address their deep-seated issues.

Jena denied the abuse allegations, arguing Mwashaireni owed her and the children continued support. The court’s decision has sparked debate about family dynamics and responsibility.
