Ngozi wrecks havoc after Mutoko man had lula lula with his mother then killed her
In a chilling tale from Mutoko, an avenging spirit is said to be wreaking havoc after a man allegedly committed a heinous act against his own mother. The spirit of the deceased grandmother is demanding justice, specifically compensation of 13 cattle, for the alleged crime that occurred in 2014.
The victim, Susan Madhuku Chomusina, 72, was reportedly killed on September 24, 2014, after allegedly being subjected to a reprehensible act by Simon Chomusina, the son of her husband’s younger wife. Simon Chomusina, 59, now stands accused of this unspeakable deed.
Police spokesperson Inspector Milton Mundembe has confirmed that authorities in Mashonaland Central are actively searching for Simon Chomusina in connection with the alleged murder.
The events unfolded at Plot Number 346, Matetsa Farm, in Mutoko, where the Chomusina family resided. The late Mr. Elias Chomusina lived there with his two wives: Susan Madhuku Chomusina, the senior wife, and Annah Madhuku Chomusina, the younger wife.
According to Ephraim Chomusina, 59, the son of the senior wife, the family made a collective decision not to report the incident to the police or local chiefs following his mother’s death. He claims this decision was influenced by his maternal uncle, who is the brother of his mother.
Ephraim Chomusina stated, “My mother and my aunt, the younger wife of my father, were very close. Therefore, our uncle, my mother’s brother, refused to have the case reported to the police, chiefs, or headmen after being promised three cattle by the perpetrator, which they never gave. My mother’s body was then buried as if nothing wrong had happened.”
However, the attempt to conceal the crime proved futile as the avenging spirit of Susan Madhuku Chomusina began to manifest in her granddaughter, Josephine Chomusina, 29, demanding retribution.
“My mother’s spirit started to make my child, Josephine Chomusina, sick, saying that it wants to be compensated with thirteen cattle, which it says should be paid by my brother who killed my mother. This spirit says that my brother did this with four other men. As a family, we once met with the brother who is being pointed to by the avenging spirit, and he admitted that it was true that he killed my mother,” Ephraim Chomusina revealed.
Laiza Chomusina, 52, the daughter of the deceased grandmother, corroborated the story of the avenging spirit’s emergence. “My mother was murdered while my father was still alive, and the case was closed. This avenging spirit wants 13 cattle, which it says should come from the perpetrator,” she confirmed.
Laiza Chomusina further stated that she reported the alleged perpetrator to the Harare police, and the case has since been transferred to the Rushinga police, where he is currently residing.
Josephine Chomusina, who is said to be afflicted by the avenging spirit, described the impact on her well-being. “This spirit is affecting me. My wish is that, as a family, we should put our heads together and have these cattle paid, because it is now causing my body to be constantly in pain,” she lamented.
Rangarirai Muranga, the brother of the murdered grandmother, who is alleged to have discouraged reporting the crime to the authorities, acknowledged the manifestation of the avenging spirit. “Indeed, the information I am hearing is that my sister was murdered and also that her spirit is now manifesting in her granddaughter. As an uncle, I am working with these grandchildren to ensure that things are resolved, but the claims that I was promised cattle to prevent the case from being reported to the police are false,” he stated.
