BREAKING NEWS: ZRP exposes Prophet Magaya, he tried to bribe officers with money

The police have unearthed an alleged criminal plot to raise money to bribe officers, Magistrates, and investigators in the rape and fraud cases involving Prophetic Healing and Deliverance (PHD) Ministries founder, Walter Magaya.

The plot, police say, involves one Arlbetina Sakonda based in South Africa working with others in Zimbabwe and Australia to raise more than US$200k that will be used to approach and compromise investigators, prosecutors, Magistrates, and Judges to derail criminal investigations and court processes.

“The Zimbabwe Republic Police therefore warns individuals, groups and associates that they will be arrested as the law will definitely take effect without fear or favour,” national police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi said in a statement.

“The Police is monitoring what is happening with a very keen interest for the effective maintenance of law and order and justice delivery. All potential witnesses should report anyone dangling any form of offers or cash or promises to the police for swift action to be taken.”

Magaya was arrested recently for several alleged rape and fraud cases.

He is out on US$3000 bail.
