18-year old teenager impregnates his younger biological sister in Chinhoyi

An 18-year-old man from Chinhoyi has received a sentence of unpaid community service after being found guilty of engaging in sexual relations with his 16-year-old sister, who subsequently became pregnant.

The convicted individual, whose identity has not been disclosed by the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), appeared in the Chinhoyi Magistrates’ Court, where he was given a 12-month prison sentence.

However, four months of the sentence were suspended for five years, and the remaining eight months will be served through 280 hours of community service.

According to the NPA, the offenses occurred in May 2025 at Madhuveko Village in Zvimba.

It was reported that the young man entered his sister’s room while she was getting ready for school, engaged in inappropriate touching, and subsequently had sexual intercourse with her.

The siblings reportedly continued to have sexual encounters on various occasions, leading to the girl’s pregnancy.

The situation came to light when the sister fell seriously ill and was taken to the hospital, where it was discovered that she had experienced a miscarriage.

This revelation prompted an investigation that ultimately led to the arrest of the young man.
