THE Outcry Experience turned into an emotional and unforgettable moment when Minister Michael Mahendere paused the worship session to honour his mother in front of thousands.

What began as a powerful night of praise and worship suddenly shifted into a deeply personal encounter that moved the entire audience to tears.

Mahendere spotted his mother seated among the congregants and immediately stopped the programme, emotionally calling her forward.

“Munondikwadzisa. Handisati ndambogumburana namai vangu. Mama please come sit here front,” he said, his voice breaking as he wiped away tears.

The venue fell silent as ushers escorted his mother to the front.

Addressing the crowd, Mahendere spoke about honour, obedience and gratitude, emphasising that his ministry and life were anchored in his mother’s prayers.

“Zvese zvandiri, ndakazviwana neminamato yamai vangu,” he said.

The moment reached its emotional peak when Mahendere announced that he was gifting his mother a car as a token of appreciation and honour.

The powerful gesture drew loud applause, tears and celebration from the crowd, reinforcing the message that true worship begins with honouring one’s parents.
