Harare – Jimayi Muduvuri’s Muduvuri Rehabilitation and Empowerment Foundation is spreading hope across Zimbabwe, with beneficiaries from Shurugwi to Kwekwe, Gokwe, and beyond. The foundation’s initiatives, including free medical services, empowerment programs, and disability advocacy, have made a significant impact on communities.
In Shurugwi, people with disabilities received essential supplies like mealie-meal and cooking oil, bringing relief to families. In Kwekwe, the foundation’s rehabilitation center has helped victims of drug and substance abuse rebuild their lives. Gokwe residents also benefited from the foundation’s outreach, with many accessing free medical treatment at Muduvuri Pan-African Referral Hospita
Last week, Allied Tobacco farmers 4ED joined the efforts, donating food hampers to people with disabilities (PWDs) as part of their community responsibility initiative. This gesture complemented the Muduvuri Foundation’s work, further supporting vulnerable communities.
“The support from the Muduvuri Foundation and Allied Tobacco farmers 4ED is a game-changer for PWDs in Harare. It’s a testament to the power of community and inclusivity,” said Agri Musavengana, Provincial Chairman of Harare PWDs4ED.
Allied Tobacco Secretary-General Cde Mudavanhu emphasized the organization’s commitment to social responsibility: “We believe in empowering communities, and supporting PWDs is a key part of our mandate.”
Ambassador for PWDs Josiah Chiyedzo Dimbo praised Muduvuri’s efforts: “His foundation is a shining example of what can be achieved with compassion and dedication. We’re grateful for the impact they’re making.”
The foundation’s efforts have touched lives in other parts of the country, with over 4,000 people with disabilities receiving free funeral cover. Muduvuri’s mantra, “disability is not inability,” drives the foundation’s work, promoting inclusivity and empowerment.
