Former MP Dexter Nduna Back in Court Over Obstruction, Threat Allegations
Former Member of Parliament Dexter Tawona Nduna (55) is expected back in the dock today as his trial resumes at the Kadoma Magistrates’ Court, where he faces charges of obstructing a messenger of court and issuing threats to unleash vicious dogs to block the execution of a court order.
According to the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ), Nduna allegedly interfered with the lawful execution of a warrant of execution against property after a court order was issued against him.
The State says Nduna was initially served with the court order, warrant of execution, bond of indemnity and notice of removal on 16 December 2025, but disputed the service, claiming the documents had been delivered to the wrong address.
Prosecutors allege that Nduna was personally served again on 2 January 2026, curing any defect in service.
However, about a week later, when a messenger of court and his team attempted to attach property at house number 3858, Mshumavale, Kadoma, Nduna allegedly blocked the process and threatened to release dogs on the officials, effectively preventing them from carrying out their lawful duties.
In a statement, the NPAZ stressed that court orders are binding on everyone, warning that no individual is above the law, regardless of political status or position.
The matter returns to court today for trial, with Nduna expected to plead to the charges.
