Woman bashed for demanding extra fees after condom burst

A Harare woman sustained serious head injuries after she was bashed by a man who was allegedly owing her some money for a sexual encounter, in which he was charged extras, after a condom burst.

Tristan Mudenda was not asked to plead when he appeared before Harare magistrate Ruth Moyo where he was charged with assault.

The court heard that earlier this month, Mudenda met the complainant, Belinda Kajawo, at ArchipelagoBar, in the Harare CBD. Mudenda allegedly hired Kajawo for sexual services for an agreed fee of US$6.

During the act, the condom burst and Kajawo told him that he had to pay extra because she now had to buy medication to prevent sexually transmitted infections.

Mudenda promised to pay the extra fee later and only paid US$6.

On Sunday, the two met again at the corner of First Street and Nelson Mandela and Kajawo demanded that Mudenda should pay the balance.

This didn’t go down well with him.

According to the State, Mudenda went on to assault Kajawo, slapping her and pushed her towards a window, causing serious head injuries. *_-H-Metro_*
