Anymore Zvitsva, a suspected serial killer, now faces 25 murder charges after police found two more victims in Guruve, increasing the total from 23.

Commissioner Paul Nyathi, spokesperson for the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP), announced that the investigation has also uncovered allegations of rape and attempted murder.

Authorities are looking into whether Zvitsva had accomplices and if some victims had body parts removed.

“We can confirm that two more victims have been discovered in connection with Zvitsva’s murder spree, bringing the total number of alleged victims to 25. As a result, he is now facing charges related to the alleged killing of 25 people. Investigators have also recorded additional allegations of rape and attempted murder,” Nyathi stated.

Zvitsva was arrested on January 3 in Guruve and appeared in court from Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals on January 5.

During his recent court appearance at the Harare Magistrates Court, prosecutors requested more time to gather evidence from separate cases linked to his alleged crimes, ZBC reports.

Court documents revealed that some remains of the victims were found missing body parts, underscoring the seriousness of the allegations.

Zvitsva is scheduled to return to the Harare Magistrates Court on February 3 for routine remand as the investigation continues.
