MORGAN ZINTEC COLLEGE LECTURER ON THE RUN AFTER RAPING ONE OF HIS STUDENTS . . .
…There are fears he could have targeted other students
Happiness Karengo allegedly met his female student, aged 30, at the administration block and told her to follow him to his office to take the in-class exam, which she had not written.
When they arrived at the office, Karengo allegedly unlocked the door and she entered the room.
Karengo allegedly locked the door from inside and is said to have told the student that he loved her.
He started touching her shoulders.
The student turned down his proposal and told him to leave her alone or else she was going to scream.
Karengo then went to a locker where he took out a condom.
He then allegedly raped her.
The case took place sometime in November last year.
After raping her, he dressed up and he gave her the in-class test and told her to write it.
He left her in the office.
The student disclosed the case to her sister who advised her not to report until Karengo finished profiling their course work marks so that he would not temper with her college work and make her fail.
The student decided to file a police report this week.
Lecturers at the college have openly been discussing the case.
“This is serious abuse and unprofessional conduct shown by the lecturer.
“We suspect that he could have been doing this to some students in exchange of favours and went unreported,” said one of the students.
The student has since been taken to Edith Clinic for medical examination.
Police could not be reached for comment.
The case was reported at Braeside Police Station under RRB 6473934
