Three People Drown While Trying to Cross Flooded River in Ford Ranger
Tragedy struck on March 3rd when three people lost their lives while attempting to cross the flooded Nyanyange River in a Ford Ranger Wildtrak.
The incident occurred at a bridge along the MashavaβDownlands Road in Gweru.
Reports indicate that the driver managed to escape by swimming to safety, but sadly, the three passengers drowned.
Rescue teams retrieved their bodies the following day, March 4th, and transported them to Mvuma Hospital for post-mortem examinations.
Local authorities are reminding residents to exercise caution during heavy rains and to avoid attempting to cross flooded areas.
