Fisherman dies after crocodile attack in Binga

A fisherman has died following a crocodile attack during a fishing expedition at the Saba Ward 13 Mlibizi fishing area in Binga, Matabeleland North Province.

The tragic incident was revealed in a Civil Protection Unit (CPU) report issued on 2 April 2026.

“One casualty of a young male fisherman h
as been recorded. He died after admission at Binga Hospital,” the CPU said.

The report further noted that failure to observe safe fishing practices contributed to the fatal attack. *_-Bulawayo24_*
