Man kills brother after repeatedly attacking him with a wooden plank
A man allegedly killed his brother in Murehwa after he flew into a rage and repeatedly struck him with a wooden plank.
Daniel Bandahwe died from injuries sustained in the attack initiated by his younger brother, James Bandahwe.
Daniel died a day after the attack.
He was drinking beer at a village when James arrived and a dispute between the two led to the vicious attack.
A relative claims James planned the vicious attack. Daniel is survived by his wife, four children and six grandchildren.
The incident took place in Gavaza Village on Thursday last week.
James, a member of an Apostolic sect, is now believed to be on the run as investigations into the suspected murder case continue.
A family relative, who asked not to be named, said the brothers share the same father and their mothers are sisters.
The relative claimed that James allegedly followed Daniel to where he was drinking beer with the intention to attack and harm him.
A video, which was recorded before Daniel was killed, shows him narrating how he was assaulted by his brother.
The video is circulating among relatives and villagers.
“He was using drunkenness to find ways of attacking him,” the relative said.
“He used a wooden plank and made sure he targeted sensitive parts of the body to kill him.
“In retaliation, Daniel poured opaque beer on James”
Daniel’s body was taken to Parirenyatwa Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
He is expected to be buried in Murehwa tomorrow. *_-H-Metro_*
