2028 elections unstoppable, says former Zanu PF official Killer Zivhu

Outspoken former Chivi South MP Killer Zivhu has once again stirred political debate after accusing the ruling Zanu PF of abandoning its founding values and transforming into an elite-driven political machine serving the wealthy.

Posting on X last week, Zivhu launched a scathing attack on the party, alleging that resources are increasingly being used to reward defectors from opposition parties while long-serving loyal members are left neglected.

“Zanu PF has changed. They’re now giving cars and money to opposition members, calling them ‘former opposition’ members — while vana vemusangano vachifira mahara,” Zivhu wrote.

He went on to warn that the party was gradually losing its revolutionary identity, arguing that money and privilege now dominate internal politics.

“It’s being dismantled day by day. The party has turned into a billionaire’s club, not a revolutionary movement anymore,” he said.

Zivhu’s remarks are likely to intensify debate within political circles, especially as concerns continue to grow over patronage, factionalism, and widening inequality within the ruling party’s structures.

Turning his focus to the future, Zivhu also signaled his political ambitions ahead of the next general elections, calling on like-minded individuals to begin organizing around development-focused ideas.

“Those preparing for the 2028 elections — let’s meet and share ideas on how to develop our areas. The 2028 elections are unstoppable!” he declared.
