‘I am ready for you!’ — Chiwenga drops bombshell claims, challenges Makandiwa to open bible showdown* The war of words between Apostle Chiwenga and Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa has exploded, with Chiwenga firing back with a barrage of accusations and declaring: “I am ready for you!” What started as a heated theological disagreement has now turned deeply personal, with Chiwenga accusing Makandiwa of crossing the line by dragging his wife and family into the dispute. The confrontation reportedly began after Chiwenga questioned how Makandiwa, as a prophet, failed to foresee the death of his friend, businessman Sir Wicknell Chivayo. Makandiwa reportedly hit back by asking Chiwenga why he did not foresee the death of his own wife. That response appears to have pushed Chiwenga over the edge. ‘Leave my wife alone!’ Chiwenga says their dispute was originally about doctrine, but claims Makandiwa turned it into a personal battle by bringing his wife into the argument. He has now challenged Makandiwa to keep their families out of the fight and face him on biblical and doctrinal issues instead. “I am not afraid of you,” Chiwenga declared in substance, making it clear that he is prepared for a public showdown. Gold miracle bombshell But Chiwenga did not stop there. He claimed he has information from people who allegedly know what happened during the controversial City Sports Centre gold miracle, where gold was reportedly said to have fallen from the sky. Chiwenga alleged that former members of Makandiwa’s church were part of a group that staged the alleged miracle. He further claimed that one of those people is now a member of his church and suggested that he could reveal information about what allegedly happened. The explosive claims have not been independently verified. ‘Where will the next US$2 million come from?’ Chiwenga also turned his guns towards Makandiwa’s finances. He questioned where another reported US$2 million donation would come from and made allegations concerning gifts allegedly received by the prophet. He further accused Makandiwa of building his wealth through money obtained from poor followers, citing religious products and practices such as altars, wristbands, anointing oils, water and stones. The claims are allegations and have not been independently established. ‘You say you hear from God…’ Chiwenga also questioned Makandiwa’s prophetic credentials. He claimed that he hears from God and spoke of having knowledge beyond the present, then posed a blunt question: If you are a prophet, why didn’t you see it coming? The challenge cuts to the heart of their dispute — what does it really mean to be a prophet? ‘Let’s meet in an open biblical debate’ Chiwenga’s final challenge was unmistakable: bring the Bible. Rather than continuing the battle through personal exchanges, he challenged Makandiwa to an open debate over their doctrinal differences. The dispute between the two church leaders has now become one of Zimbabwe’s most closely watched religious confrontations, with questions of prophecy, doctrine, money, miracles and personal attacks all entering the fray. And Chiwenga appears to have one message for Makandiwa: ‘I am ready.’ _-Punchster Entertainment_ 4. Severe hailstorm leaves trail of destruction across Masvingo A fierce hailstorm has battered
