YBG empowers youths through innovation By Wellington Zimbowa Young Bold & Gifted (YBG) Zimbabwe is providing a platform for the country’s youth to showcase their talents and thrive. Founded in 2017 by Ramish Hungwe, YBG Zimbabwe aims to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity. “Our goal is to create opportunities where they are needed most,” Hungwe said. “We want to empower Zimbabwe’s youth to take their rightful place in the global economy.” The Kadoma based organisation’s flagship event, Miss Young Bold & Gifted Zimbabwe, combines empowerment programming with traditional pageantry, celebrating confidence, talent, and purpose-driven young women aged 6-38. The pageant has been a huge success in the country. YBG Zimbabwe also offers web and app development services, helping businesses establish and grow their online presence. “In today’s digital age, having a strong online presence is crucial for businesses to succeed,” said Hungwe. “We’re helping businesses in Zimbabwe to take their operations online and reach a wider audience.” The organisation has partnered with Avantao AI, a technology company specialising in artificial intelligence solutions. “Avantao AI is transforming businesses through intelligent AI solutions,” said a company representative. “Our products include a voice AI platform supporting over 50 languages and an AI HR software that automates recruitment and employee performance analytics.” The Kadoma Creative and Community Awards, supported by YBG Zimbabwe, recognises and celebrates local talent, promoting community development and pride. The awards have been instrumental in showcasing the talents of local artists, musicians, and entrepreneurs. The youthful led organisation’s efforts are making a significant impact, with the organisation emerging as a beacon of hope for the country’s youth. Its innovative approach and partnerships are empowering the next generation of leaders and innovators, positioning them for success in the global economy.
