Ambassador For Palestine Presents Credentials To SADC Executive Secretary

Palestine Ambassador to Zimbabwe His Excellency Dr Tamer Almassri has presented credentials to the SADC executive secretary Elias Magosi.

His Excellency Magosi expressed his delight at meeting the envoy and highlighted the key priority areas of SADC as outlined in the grouping’s Regional Indicative Strategic Development Plan (RISP 2020-30) and the SADC vision 2050 which guides its cooperation with it’s partners.

“The State of Palestine has a positive relationship with SADC member states, we are in a process of consolidating our relationship with numerous African states in pursuit of creating substantial affiliation with the SADC region,” said Ambassador Dr Almassri.

The SADC secretariat and the State of Palestine, through the Palestinian International Cooperation Agency, are negotiating a memorandum of understanding that seeks to establish a mutual understand of their strategic relationship in establishing and implementing programs of Cooperation and Development.
