COME AGAIN FC RECORDS SECOND WIN
Thomas Faranando at Rimuka Stadium
Kadoma’s only Division 1 side Come Again FC has recorded their second win in the Northern Region Soccer League (NRSL) 2023, displaying good football in Rimuka Stadium on Sunday.
Captain John Nyamupurwa, Lindsay Malunga and A. Mbewe of Come Again FC were on target beating Concession United 3 – 0 to move 16th on the table after eight matches, with seven points.
Concession United, a team which is yet to collect a point in their eight opening matches, were no pushovers as they made Come Again to sweat for the three points.
Mombe Mumunda’s win against Concession was welcomed by Kadoma supporters and they hope that the team will maintain the good run on their next assignment against Black Mambas (week 9) this weekend in Rimuka Stadium.
Come Again FC won their last two matches under the guidance of caretaker coach Aaron Mbewe after head coach, Bigboy Mawiwi left unexpectedly.
The million dollar question is, is Mbewe going to takeover as head coach or the team is going to hire a new one.
Rumors suggest that Gift Raiva is eyeing for the hot seat.
The team’s assistant coach Mbewe, who has been in charge for the last two games as a caretaker coach, saw great improvement in terms of both an entertaining and passing game.
In an interview with this publication after the match, Mbewe was grateful to the Kamonera-led executive for giving him an opportunity to coach Come Again FC.
“I am grateful to my chairperson and his team for giving us an opportunity to coach the team after Bigboy Mawiwi left,” he said.
“I also want to thank the supporters for being with us even in our trying times. It is the supporters who makes us great.”
