He was then escorted to the helicopter, which escorted him back to face the consequences of his crime. A sigh of relief was expressed by the presumed owner of the stolen Toyota Hilux in a WhatsApp voice message, grateful that the thief was caught before he could cross into Mozambique and deliver the car to a buyer.

Justice Served: Conviction of Copper Cable Thieves
In a related incident, the Pretoria North Magistrate’s Court handed down a10 year prison sentence to two Zimbabwean nationals, Namer Ndovu (27) and Collen Singanje (28), for tampering with essential infrastructure. The pair was caught red-handed with eight pieces of signal copper cables by PRASA security guards at E’skia Mphahlele Drive in the Wonderboom area. Despite pleading not guilty, state prosecutor Lufuno Manena successfully proved the charges beyond a reasonable doubt, leading to the conviction of Ndovu and Singanje.
