The High Court has dismissed the application by the Citizen Coalition for Change (CCC) to reinstate 14 Members of Parliament (MPs) and 9 CCC councillors who were recalled.

Sengezo Tshabangu Controversial Recalls
Tshabangu threw CCC into chaos by recalling 14 Members of Parliament and 9 councillors. He argued that their selection to represent the party was shrouded in ambiguity. CCC swiftly distanced itself from Tshabangu, stating that he was not the party’s Secretary General. They also condemned his actions as unlawful.

However, the application by CCC to set aside the recalls has been dismissed by the High Court. ZimLive confirmed this development on their official X account.
“The High Court has thrown out an application by 14 CCC MPs and 9 senators to be re-instated in parliament following their recalls by Sengezo Tshabangu, who says he’s the party’s interim secretary general.”
Meanwhile, the CCC has confirmed the receipt of the High Court ruling and revealed that they are still studying it. The party, however, reiterated that Tshabangu is not a member of the CCC party.
